Windsor Central School District is a rural school district that covers 110 square miles of area in the towns of Windsor, Kirkwood, Colesville and Sanford. Total enrollment in 2009 was 2,120 students and the average class size is about 20 students per class.
The district has taken a leading role in academic achievement with scores on state assessments that are well above the state average and above average for the area.
